Marino Guarnieri is an Italian director, animator and illustrator.
He is best known for being one of the directors of the animated film Cat Cinderella, released in theaters in 2017.
He was the assistant director and editor of the animated film L'arte della felicità del 2013, winner of the European Film Awards 2014, produced by the Neapolitan studio Mad Entertainment. In 2017 he directed, together with Alessandro Rak, Ivan Cappiello and Dario Sansone, the animated feature Gatta Cenerentola, produced by Mad Entertainment and Rai Cinema. The film has won many awards, including the Silver Ribbon and several nominations for the David di Donatello 2018, in which he was awarded the David di Donatello for best producer and the David di Donatello for best visual special effects; was also selected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the association that awards the Oscars, in the short list of 26 films among which were chosen the five nominated for the Oscar for Best Animated Film.
Since 2017 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of ASIFA Italia, the association of authors and professionals of Italian animation, of which he was elected president in 2019.
