Alessandra Torella is an Italian costume designer and fashion historian, known for her fine work in film, theater, and television. After graduating in Set Design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, she consolidated her education by collaborating from 1995 to 2002 with the legendary Oscar winner Danilo Donati and, in the theater, with Franca Squarciapino and Hugo de Ana.
Since 1997 he has independently designed costumes for numerous productions, distinguishing himself for her historical rigor and attention to detail. Throughout her career he has worked on internationally important projects such as the film "Life is Beautiful" and has designed the costumes for famous Rai television series, including the successful saga set in the ’30s, "Inspector Ricciardi" and "The Bastards of Pizzofalcone".
In addition to her screen and opera work, she works actively as an exhibition curator and fashion history expert.
In this field he taught History of Costume at the Academy of Costume and Fashion in Rome and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples.
