Vincenzo Nisco

Character Design

Vincenzo Nisco was a cartoonist in the 1970s and 1980s for such titles as Launch Story, Skorpio, Intrepid, and Balboa until, as a young man, he left Italy to work first in Malaysia and Singapore and then in Chicago to finally land at Disney Studios in Sydney. There he worked on 12 films including: Tarzan, Lady and the Tramp 2, Lilo & Stitch, The Lion King 3, Bambi, The Jungle Book 2, Koda Brother Bear and others. At the same time he was active in numerous TV series such as Wicked, Flipper and Mr Bean. In 2006 he returned to Italy, to the Rainbow studio, where he contributed to the 3 Winx Club films and Gladiators of Rome. Named Cavaliere al Merito della Repubblica in 2006, he is a permanent member of the Accademia del Cinema Italiano. Awarded the Award of Honor in 2015 at the Toronto Film Festival, he is currently Art Director at CGI studios in Rome and Director of Rainbow Academy.
