Short synopsis
Massimo De Core, is not just any football player: he has played for the entire career in the same team, becoming a flag for it; for many years, he has come very close to winning an important trophy without ever being able to realize this his dream. But this season, like an unexpected gift, De Core’s team has qualified for the final of the league cup: the city is in a fever, and the warmerfans, unexpectedly find themselves preparing choreographies and celebratory jerseys for a possible victory. The story begins on the evening of his 40th birthday.

L’Ultima Sfida è un film che parla di calcio senza vederlo praticamente mai: è una storia sul tradimento, sulla truffa, sull’ingannoma anche sulla consapevolezza che una seconda via d’uscita può esistere se riusciamo a capire, chi di questa mano è “il banco”, perché anche in questa storia il banco vince sempre! Esiste una vena di commedia all’interno di una storia molto attuale che ri sce a rendere più leggera l’atmosfera di un mondo, quello della criminalità, associata alle scommesse sportive che spaventa non solo il protagonista della storia, ma tutto lo sport in generale.
