Andrea Cavalletto | Presentation Design: the new Italian western

PRESENTATION COSTUME DESIGN - THE NEW "ITALIAN WESTERN": ANDREA CAVALLETTO (Head or Cross, Vermilion). Moderated by Francesca Romana Buffetti (Journalist, Director "Scenografia&Costume") in collaboration with the magazine Scenografia&Costume

Diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 2004 and the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome in 2007, where he was a student of Costume Designer Piero Tosi and Scenographer Andrea Crisanti. He began working as an assistant with costume designers Maurizio Millenotti and Alessandro Lai, affinding them in film and theater productions. Debuts as Costume Designer for the Film" Dieci Inverni" in 2009; first work by director Valerio Mieli, in competition at the 66th Venice Film Festival and which obtained Nastro D'Argento and David di Donatello in the same year. This was followed by more than 40 Cinematographic collaborations with directors such as: Ermanno Olmi's "Torneranno i Prati," with which he obtained the first nomination for the David di Donatello Award, "Martin Eden" by Pietro Marcello, "Vermiglio" by Maura DelPero," Il Cattivo Poeta" Gianluca Jodice and other Masters and Debuts of Italian and European Cinema: Michele Placido, Sergio Castellitto, Petr Vaclav, Sara Fgaier, Simone Bozzelli, Roan Johnson, Matteo Zoppis and Alessio Rigo de Righi etc. He has collaborated as a lecturer of the Course of Costume for the Performing Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia and the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and in recent years with the Experimental Center of Cinematografia in Rome.
