Breve biografia del regista
Manos Karystinos was born on February 23, 1990, in Komotini, a small town in northern Greece. He has an M. Eng. in Civil Engineering, as he graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2014, his first Feature Film “Dark Illusion” premiered at the 55th Thessaloniki International Film Festival and won the «FISCHER AUDIENCE AWARD-MICHAEL CACOYANNIS AWARD». After that, the film won several awards in international festivals. He studied Film in Athens. He created 3 student short films and started working in the Greek film industry, mostly as an Assistant Director. He was responsible for the production and direction of TEDx Komotini, for 2
years. He won a scholarship from EKOME and became an intern in Nu Boyana Film Studios in Sofia, Bulgaria. During the internship, he directed a short action film using an iPhone, that won 2 big awards in FilmForge Fest 2019, and a short film named "Strawberries".
