Annarita Calligaris | Keynote: production design for animation

KEYNOTE: PRODUCTION DESIGN FOR ANIMATION - ANNARITA CALLIGARIS (Gatta Cenerentola, The Art of Happiness). In collaboration with Mad Entertainment.

Born in Naples in 1980, after classical studies, she began a path of artistic studies at the Academy
of Fine Arts in Naples where she graduated with top marks. In 2004, she began her path in
2D animation, later expanding her skills also in animation and
3D modeling.
After dedicating herself to the creation of small commercials and short animated films, in 2011 she began
collaborating with Mad Entertainment as Concept Artist, 2D/ 3D Lead Animator and 2D/3D set
designer. He then realizes various projects, among them on all the
animated feature film for the
direction of Alessandro Rak, "The Art of Happiness," Best European Animated Feature Film of European
Film Academy 2014; the animated feature film to
directed by Alessandro Rak, Ivan Cappiello,
Marino Guarnieri and Dario Sansone "Gatta Cenerentola," winner of the 2018 David di Donatello as
"Best Producer" and "Best Digital Effects"; the feature film "Yaya and Lennie - The Walking Liberty"
shown at the 2021 Locarno Film Festival; the animated series "Food Wizards" in collaboration
with Rai.
Currently continues collaboration as set designer and lead animator with Mad
Entertainment. At the same time he is teaching the course of Animation Cinema
at Comix, Italian School of Comics in Naples and teaching the course of Techniques of
Animation Cinema and the Background course at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples.
