Giorgio Scorza

Co-Fondatore, CEO e Direttore Creativo di “Movimenti Production”.

Upon completion of his training at the IED in Milan, his diploma short was selected in competition at Annecy in 2002, winning several awards in Italy and Europe (including the Poitiers Festival) and from there he began his career in the animation industry.
 
In 2004, he founded, with Davide Rosio, Movimenti Production, a production house and animation studio, and over the years produced several international short films and TV series such as "Lupo" and "Topo Gigio" (Pulcinella Awards 2020, Moige Award 2021).
 
As an author, director and creative director, Giorgio Scorza signs several advertising campaigns, album covers, installations, events and Italian and international video clips collaborating among others with artists such as Mika, thasup, Pinguini Tattici Nucleari, the Machete Empire Records, and winning several awards including the Best Italian video clip award in 2006 and 2007.

A lecturer in animation and digital animation cinema for years at the IED in Milan and Dams in Udine, he founded in 2019 with Davide Rosio the DogHead Animation studio in Florence, Italy, where Zerocalcare's series for Netflix, "Tear Along the Edges," was also made, which, produced by Movimenti Production, also features Giorgio Scorza as co-technical director. The series launched worldwide in November 2021 and won several awards, including Best TV Series at the Diversity Media Awards 2022 and Ribbon of the Year at the Nastri d'Argento Grandi Serie 2022, triumphed at FeST - The Festival of TV Series 2022 in 5 categories including Director and Scripted Series of the Year, as well as being awarded the Globo d'Oro 2022 - the film award given by the foreign press accredited in Italy - as Best TV Series. June 2023, also for Netflix, saw the release of "This World Won't Make Me Bad," Zerocalcare's second series once again produced by Movimenti Production with technical direction by Giorgio Scorza and Davide Rosio.
